Amazon Associates

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Ring & Rest is a participant in the Amazon Associates program. When you click a buy button — they read “See today's price on the <product>”, or show the live price and the product name once we have one — and buy something, Amazon may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link, and the sale, shipping and returns are handled on Amazon's side, not ours.

Other programs

Ring & Rest is also an approved partner of Beam (shopbeam.com, sleep blends) through the Impact network. No Beam product is listed, scored or recommended anywhere on this site today, because none of these pages is about sleep supplements — they are about measuring sleep, not changing it. If that ever changes, the product will be scored on a published rubric like everything else, it will carry the same #ad label, and nothing here will tell you a supplement treats, prevents or cures anything. That is not something this site is qualified to say.

How our links work

Buy buttons on this site point to addresses that start with /go/. That's a simple redirect on our own domain. For Amazon, it adds our Associates tracking tag and sends you on to Amazon; for a partner on the Impact network it adds that program's tracking link. We use it so a product's destination can be updated in one place (if a model is replaced, for example) without rewriting every page, and so we can count clicks in aggregate with Google Analytics. What travels with a click is which page it came from and where on that page the button sat — never anything about you. The redirect never adds a fee, it refuses to forward anywhere except the store named on the button, and it does not redirect automated traffic at all.

Every earning link is marked rel="sponsored" for search engines.

The #ad label

Every buy button on the site has a small #ad note beneath it that links back to this page. The fee tables carry the same label wherever they include an Amazon link. An affiliate link is an affiliate link whether or not a price is showing, so the label is always there.

Prices

Prices come from the retailer and change often. Where we show a number it comes from a live Amazon feed we refresh daily, and it carries the “as of” date under the button. Any price that has not been refreshed within 48 hours disappears rather than go stale, and the button falls back to “See today's price on the <product>”. The price you pay is always the one the retailer shows you at checkout.

Subscription fees are different: they are published brand policy, so we quote them with the date we checked them and compute multi-year totals from them. How that works is on the methodology page.

Commissions don't change the order

• No brand pays for placement or reviews.
• Scores come from the published rubric on our methodology page. The rubric doesn't know which links earn, and the order of every list follows the scores and the page's use case, not the commission.
• We rank rings we earn nothing on when they're the right answer, and we say plainly when a ring isn't sold on Amazon at all.

Other programs and reference links

Right now, Amazon is the only retailer we earn from. We haven't joined any other affiliate network (such as CJ or Awin) or any ring brand's own affiliate program. If that changes, we'll list the program here, and the button will say which store you're going to.

A few products we cover aren't sold on Amazon.com at all: the Circular Ring 2, the Ultrahuman Ring AIR (not sold to US buyers), the Eight Sleep Pod 6 and the Emfit QS. WHOOP sells its band with a membership. We give none of them a buy button and no outbound link, because a click we can't track earns nothing and we won't pretend otherwise. Their cards name the seller in plain text, and the maker's page appears only where it belongs, in the sources under the specs it supports.
